The Society of Composers and Lyricists and Women in Music are proud to present “Inside the Track," - an evening of production tips and techniques.
Have you ever wondered how different songwriters create their music? How can production and engineering bring a demo to life? How does mixing and mastering take a track to the next level?
Join us on Thursday, February 23rd for a discussion with leading women in the field of songwriting, engineering and production.
WIM and SCL Members are encouraged to submit their songs to be the subject of the discussion. Producers, performers, engineers, composers all welcome to apply here (https://goo.gl/bpv6il) and then email your track to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Selected participants will need to provide audio stems of their track for presentation, and be able to attend the event on February 23rd.

Ann Mincieli Ann Mincieli is a mix engineer who owns and operates Jungle City Studios, her New York City-based studio. She is known for her longtime work with Alicia Keys. Other recent projects include engineering for Queen of Katwe, The Hamilton Mixtape, 12 Years a Slave, and working with such artists as Jennifer Hudson, Emeli Sandé, and Drake.
Jenna Andrews Jenna Andrews is a Canadian singer and songwriter from Calgary, Alberta. She has released two EPs to date, entitled Sextape Mixtape and Kiss and Run. Jenna has written and recorded with artists and songwriters such as: Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Noah "40" Shebib, Jessie J, DJ Mustard, Diplo, Lily Allen, Tori Kelly, Allen Stone, The Band Perry, Marsha Ambrosius, Jim Jonsin, Tamia, Majid Jordan, Jeremih, Babyface, Banks, Noah Cyrus, Max Martin, Doc McKinney, Tricky Stewart, Kuk Harrell, Claude Kelly and Nelly Furtado.
Suzi Analogue Suzi Analogue is an incredibly versatile producer, vocalist, and designer whose futuristic, forward-thinking music blends abstract hip-hop, neo-soul, and electronic experimentation. Her recordings often feature blown-out, off-kilter beats in addition to her smooth vocals and positive lyrics, but she's also embraced drum'n'bass, footwork, and other forms of high-energy club music. True to her name, she releases much of her music on formats such as cassette and vinyl, and she runs a tape label called Never Normal Records. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, she has resided in numerous cities including Philadelphia, Tokyo, and New York, and she's traveled to Uganda and the Netherlands to teach music production courses. Born Maya Shipman in 1987, she dubbed herself Suzi Analogue in tribute to RZA's moniker Bobby Digital.
VÉRITÉ VÉRITÉ made a grand arrival in the alt-pop world with her debut EP's Echo, Sentiment and Living, which crowned her multiple Hype Machine #1's and a spot as the #1 viral artist on Twitter, as well as racking up over 40 million Spotify streams and a sold out tour on the back of these independent releases. While working on her full-length album, VÉRITÉ released her cover of The 1975’s “Somebody Else”, garnering over 43 million streams on Spotify and countless praise from outlets like TIME, Billboard, and Buzzfeed. Now, VÉRITÉ prepares to release “Phase Me Out”, the first single from her debut album coming this summer.
JoAnne Harris JoAnne Harris is a composer based in New York. Recent projects include: The Infiltrator (orchestrator), Cassandra French’s Finishing School for Boys (tv), Mal de Ojo (HBO) and underscore for Dateline. Her concert music will be heard this season in Texas (Dallas Winds) and Massachusetts (Tri - County Symphonic Band). She is a proud steering committee member of the SCL and a member of WIM.
