The Thing About Pam is the dramatized retelling of the gruesome 2011 murder of Betsy Faria. Two-time Academy-Award® winner Renée Zellweger embodies the larger-than-life personality of Pam Hupp, fully transforming into the convicted murderer who is serving a life sentence for killing Louis Gumpenberger and was later charged in 2021 with the murder of Betsy Fair. Hupp is currently awaiting trial. Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison narrates the portrayal of the heinous crime as told by showrunner Jenny Klein and team of writers utilizing sardonic, razor-sharp wit to detail the absurdities of Hupp. The show reveals Hupp’s elaborate and diabolical scheme to manipulate those around her, and that Betsy’s murder occurred just days after signing her life insurance over to Hupp.

Her work also includes the hit Netflix series, The Witcher, for which she served as Co-Executive Producer and wrote the lyrics for the hit single, “Toss A Coin To Your Witcher”, and Daisy Jones & The Six, a limited series executive produced by Reese Witherspoon.
