Congratulations to Howard Shore for his double Oscar win

The Society of Composers & Lyricsts congratulates SCL Gold Member & Advisory Board Member Howard Shore, the recipient of two Oscars at the 76th Annual Academy Awards. Howard Shore, Fran Walsh and Peter Jackson were all among the attendees at the SCL’s Annual Oscar Champagne Reception on February 28th in Beverly Hills, honoring the music nominees. The Awards were for: MUSIC (SCORE) The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King–Howard Shore MUSIC (SONG) The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King “Into the West” Music and Lyric by Fran Walsh and Howard Shore and Annie Lennox The 76th Annual Academy Awards ceremony was held Sunday, February 29, 2004, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA.
