LA Chamber Orchestra to be featured on NBC News

NBC News is following Margaret Batjer, Thomas Quasthoff and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra on their east coast tour, for a segment on Quasthoff. It will be shown nationally on Friday night’s NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw. (Friday April 26)

Batjer, the wife of composer Joel McNeely, is the orchestra’s concertmaster. Led by Music Director Jeffrey Kahane, the mission of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra is to perform high-quality concerts of the chamber orchestra repertoire, from Baroque and early Classical works to the compositions from the 19th and 20th century specifically written for small orchestra, including works by living composers.
