Join us for a discussion on how to break into the world of scoring for video games, personal experiences in gaming, and the major differences between composing for linear narratives for Film & TV vs. nonlinear narratives for Games.

Jongnic Bontemps has scored dozens of features, documentaries, shorts, and video games in all genres, fusing a contemporary sound with timeless emotion. JB’s scores have echoed at Cannes, the Warsaw Film Festival, Pan African Film Festival, and the American Black Film Festival, as well as at home on HBO, BET, Lifetime, NBC, Showtime, Netflix, PBS, and Disney XD. JB’s recent projects include: the Netflix documentary Murder to Mercy: The Cyntoia Brown Story, Netflix’s We Are: The Brooklyn Saints, the Lifetime biopic The Clark Sisters:  First Ladies of Gospel, Shondaland’s Dance Dreams: Hot Chocolate Nutcracker on Netflix, The Woman Who Brought Down the Klan  (CNN), and March on Washington  (National Geographic). Next up for him is the series 4400 (CW) which premieres in October, and the video game Redfall (Arkaine Austin) set to hit the Xbox Summer of 2022.

Pedro Bromfman has been writing, playing, and producing ‘Music For Images’ for nearly twenty years. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Pedro has worked as a session musician, music producer, and arranger, before his passion for film scores brought him to Los Angeles. Pedro has composed scores for RoboCop, three seasons of Narcos, Deep Web, Paradise, Inc., Thumper, Em Nome Da Lei, The Story Of Us With Morgan Freeman, End Of The Line, Chain Of Command, Panama Papers, the video games Max Payne 3, Need For Speed: Heat, and he has now finalized the music for the video game Far Cry 6 being released this fall.

Pedro Bromfman has been awarded two Gold Medals for Excellence in Film Music at the Park City Film Music Festival, an ASCAP Award, a Guarani Award for best original score, nominated for two Cinema Brazil Grand Prizes, a Hollywood Music in Media Award, an ACIE Award and a Premio Contigo! De Cinema.

Stephanie Economou is the composer of Netflix’s TV series Jupiter’s Legacy, based on the comic series by Mark Millar. She has written the music for the Lionsgate/Starz series Step Up: High Water, as well as the second season of Manhunt: Deadly Games. Stephanie also scored two episodes of the Disney+ documentary series Marvel’s 616, directed by Gillian Jacobs and Alison Brie. Most recently, she has completed the score for the Assassin’s Creed DLC Siege of Paris. As a resident board member for The Alliance for Women Film Composers, Stephanie considers the empowerment of women in film an exceedingly necessary platform and strives to make her voice, as well as other female voices in the industry, heard.
