The Premier Organization For Music Creators Working in Visual Media

The Society of Composers & Lyricists has been bringing together creators since 1945 to foster community, further our understanding of our craft, and to have a voice in the decisions that affect our future.

COVID-19 UPDATE

In response to the World Health Organization's May 11 classification of coronavirus (COVID-19) as a pandemic, the following actions have been taken:

SCL events planned for April have been postponed. The inaugural SCL Shorts ScoreFest will now be held on July 16.

SCL Screenings for Emmy Season 2020 are currently scheduled for mid-May through mid-June. We hope they will proceed, but of paramount importance is the health and safety of our members. We will continue to carefully monitor the situation, and adjust plans as necessary. If the safer option is to forego physical screenings, the SCL will explore the possibility of hosting online viewing links in conjunction with live-streamed composer Q&As.

These measures are based on recommendations from the Centers for Diseases Control (CDC)LA Department of Health and New York State Department of Health.
