Pasek/Paul receive ASCAP's Vanguard Award

Dear Evan Hansen and La La Land songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul added another award to their crowded mantle with the first ASCAP Vanguard Award ever given to composers for screen or musical theatre.

The SCL is a vibrant community of composers, lyricists, and songwriters, and has been an active part of Hollywood's music community since 1983. SCL members enjoy the camaraderie among composers and lyricists at a variety of stages in their careers, along with students, patrons, and sponsors supportive of our professional work. The SCL is active in improving the workplace and working conditions through an ongoing dialogue with experienced and acknowledged representatives of the global music community.
