Keith Mason

Keith Mason is the Coordinator of Music Technology for Belmont University’s College of Music and Performing Arts. He joined the Belmont faculty in 1998 where he teaches courses and develops curriculum in the areas of digital musicianship with a focus on music for media.

Keith has more than 35 years of experience in the Nashville music industry where he has served as a label director, creative director, and staff producer for various production companies.

As a professional music producer, composer, arranger, and digital musician, Keith has produced music for numerous organizations like Nissan, McDonald’s, Exxon, General Mills, Cadillac, Brentwood Music, Word Music, and others. His productions have won numerous awards from regional Advertising Federations as well as being the executive producer for the GMA Award Winning album “Sing Me to Sleep, Daddy”.

Keith has been an active member for CMS (College Music Society), TI:ME (Technology Institute for Music Educators) and ATMI (Association of Technology in Music Instruction), The GenNext program (a collaboration between NAMM and The College Music Society), and the MIDI Association’s “MIDI in Music Education”.
