Hoyt Curtin and Carl Stalling Inducted into SCL Hall of Fame

Composers Hoyt Curtin and Carl Stalling were both inducted into the SCL Hall of Fame at the 35th SCL Holiday Dinner in Los Angeles on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024.

Hoyt Curtin, known for writing iconic themes including Johnny Quest and The Smurfs, was introduced by composer John Debney, who worked closely with Curtin for many years.

Carl Stalling, who began scoring animation for a fledgling Walt Disney Animation Studios before finding a home at Warner Brothers with Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies, was introduced by composers and disciples of the Stalling school Julie and Steve Bernstein.
