After waking up convinced that she is going to die tomorrow, Amy’s carefully mended life begins to unravel. As her delusions of certain death become contagious to those around her, Amy and her friends’ lives spiral out of control in a tantalizing descent into madness. R | 84 min
Mondo Boys are a composer duo boldly blending a hybrid of timeless melodies into the bleeding edge of modern-day film music. They’ve scored projects by icons such as Ridley Scott (Phoenix Forgotten) and Steven Soderbergh (The Girlfriend Experience, Season Two). They’ve worked with Disney Animation as well as exciting new filmmakers Barry Jenkins, Amy Seimetz, Lake Bell and Adele Romanski. Their score and songs have created a buzz in Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Spin and NME.
Their quick rise to prominence in the film community can be attributed to their passion for story, their close collaborations with filmmakers, and their ability to write memorable music in song and score form, to fit any film.
Amy Seimetz is best known as the co-creator and executive producer of the critically acclaimed Starz series The Girlfriend Experience. Based on Steven Soderbergh’s feature, the show premiered in 2015, was nominated for a Golden Globe, and quickly renewed for a second season. Sun Don’t Shine, Seimetz’s directorial debut, won a special jury prize at South by Southwest in 2012 and was nominated for two Gotham Awards. In 2018, Seimetz directed two episodes of the acclaimed FX series Atlanta and subsequently signed a first-look television production development deal with the network.
Seimetz’s film acting credits include Shane Carruth’s Upstream Color, Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer’s Pet Sematary, Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, and Madeleine Olnek’s Wild Nights with Emily. Television credits include Netflix’s Stranger Things, the AMC series The Killing, Christopher Guest’s HBO comedy series Family Tree, and the EPIX series Get Shorty. Upcoming film and TV projects include Soderbergh’s feature Kill Switch and a CBS miniseries based on James Comey.
