ALLISON LEYTON-BROWN is a prolific composer, musical director and pianist. Highly in-demand for her work in new audio media, Allison has scored over 20 widely popular podcasts in the past three years alone. Recent projects include Chasing Cosby (LA Times), Verified (Stitcher), The Horror of Dolores Roach (Gimlet/Spotify), Man in the Window (Wondery - 2020 iHeartMedia Award for Best Crime Podcast), Finding Fred (iHeartRadio - Atlantic Magazine’s #1 Podcast of 2019), This American Life (NPR), Get Wired (Condé Nast), The Choice (NYTimes), TED Talks Daily (TED Inc.), The Argument (NYTimes), Stranglers (Stitcher), Six Who Sat (ESPN - 2019 Webby award People’s Voice Best Sports Podcast), and more.
Allison has composed songs and scores for various television programs including Peg+Cat (PBS Kids), The Good Wife (CBS), Dateline NBC, 20/20, and various documentary films. Recent theatrical credits include music and lyrics for puppet musical Elmer the Patchwork Elephant Show which toured the UK, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong. Allison has repeatedly served as artist-in-residence at universities across the US and Canada including Duke University (NC), York University (Toronto) and Fordham (NYC). She has lectured in the US and Canada on her own work and given master classes on music composition in a dramatic context.
Allison currently divides her time between New York City and Toronto, Canada.
