Every game is a Korean traditional children’s game such as Red Light, Green Light, but the consequence of losing is death. Who will be the winner, and what is the purpose behind this game? Jung Jae-il is a distinctive music composer and producer continuously surpassing expectations beyond various genres including but not limited to contemporary, film soundtracks, musicals, jazz, and pop. As a cultural creator from South Korea, Jung Jae-il has participated in various musical activities and performances including film scores, Korean Opera/play, and musicals, as well as trendy pop music. Jae-il is well-known for his achievements in the crossover between traditional Korean music and other music genres, winning the Jazz & Crossover and Crossover Album Award twice in 2018 and 2015. He has also co-produced several albums with top vocalists and artists. Jae-il has honorably received the award from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for his outstanding works in 2017. He is the composer and music director of the 4 time Oscar winner Parasite directed by Bong Joon Ho and his most recent project is the Netflix global hit series Squid Game directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. The score for Squid Game was recognized with nominations from both the Society of Composers and Lyricists Awards and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
