Daniel Pemberton is an Academy Award-nominated composer who has regularly been cited as one of the most exciting and original new voices working in modern film scoring today. Comfortable composing for everything from rock bands to symphonic orchestras, record-scratchers to jazz quintets, Pemberton’s innovative scores have consistently been singled out for critical acclaim. His credits include studio films such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Birds of Prey, Enola Holmes, and Ocean’s Eight as well as smaller indie features such as the Cannes Palme d’Or competitor Mal de Pierres or the powerful Paralympics documentary Rising Phoenix, for which Pemberton won a Sports Emmy Award for Best Music Direction. Most recently, for AppleTv+ he scored murder mystery comedy The Afterparty, and espionage series Slow Horses, including co-writing its main title theme song “Strange Game” with Mick Jagger.
Pemberton was named Film Composer of the Year in 2021 by both the World Soundtrack Awards and the international film music critics association IFMCA. He has received multiple Golden Globe nominations for projects including his neo-noir score to Motherless Brooklyn, his mix of opera and electronics for Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs, “Hear My Voice” (performed and co-written by Celeste) from Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7, and “Gold” (performed and co-written by Iggy Pop) from the Stephen Gaghan film of the same name. Pemberton also received a 2021 Best Original Song Oscar nomination for “Hear My Voice.” His Score for Being The Ricardos was Oscar-shortlisted and BAFTA nominated. Pemberton has scored projects for leading filmmakers including Ridley Scott (All the Money in the World, The Counselor), Danny Boyle (Yesterday, Steve Jobs), Aaron Sorkin (Being The Ricardos, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Molly’s Game), Darren Aronofsky (One Strange Rock), Edward Norton (Motherless Brooklyn), Louis Leterrier (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) and Guy Ritchie (The Man From U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur: Legend of the Sword).
Jack Dolgen is a writer, director and Emmy-winning songwriter. He was Executive Producer for the one-hour musical-dramedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (CW) for which he wrote, directed and wrote/cowrote over 150 original comedy songs. Jack was also Consulting Producer on Diary of a Future President (Disney+), wrote on the new Lord/Miller show, The Afterparty (AppleTV+), was co-creator and showrunner of the sitcom Pretty Smart (Netflix) and wrote and produced all the songs for 2022 season premier musical episode of The Simpsons. He currently has multiple film and television projects in various stages of development.
Jon Lajoie is a singer/songwriter, actor, comedian, and writer from Montreal. In his late teens/early twenties he dipped his toe in the music scene by playing in a few different bands in and around his hometown. In 2007, when he heard of a new thing called YouTube, he decided to experiment with making silly, low-budget comedic music videos and then posting them. To his surprise, some of those videos were seen by many people around the world, one of those people being Jeff Schaffer (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm), who was at the time casting a show called The League for FX. Jon ended up playing the role of “Taco” on the sitcom for seven seasons. He also wrote original songs for his character throughout the show’s run. In 2018 he was hired by Chris Miller and Phil Lord to write five original songs for the WB feature The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. Since then, he has been hired to write original songs for various film and television projects, including for the musical episode of the AppleTV+ Lord/ Miller series The Afterparty. Since 2016, Jon has also been releasing his own original music under the moniker “Wolfie’s Just Fine.”
