Tim Lauer is a Nashville-based Emmy-nominated composer, producer, songwriter, and musician whose songs have been featured in advertisements for BMW, Toyota, Target, L’Oreal, Coke, and Nike as well as dozens of TV shows including One Tree Hill, Drop Dead Diva, Hung, The White Queen, Homeland, Teen Wolf, Pretty Little Liars, and Cougar Town. As a musician, he has played on over 350 major label albums, recording with a wide variety of artists including Taylor Swift, Sean Mendez, The Civil Wars, Foy Vance, Burt Bacharach, Keith Urban, Rodney Crowell, Sheryl Crow, Megadeth, and Joan Baez. He has arranged strings for Skillet, Blake Shelton, Kaleo, Dolly Parton, Shawn Mendes, Joss Stone, The Smashing Pumpkins, and many others in addition to scoring short films and podcasts and orchestrating an art installation for respected German director Wem Winders.
He has produced hundreds of cast recordings for TV and film scenes. He was Executive Music Producer for seasons five and six of the television show Nashville, following T Bone Burnette and Buddy Miller who previously held the position. Tim was also a music producer for Greenleaf (Season One) and wrote and produced the main title song performed by Mavis Staples. He has produced hundreds of cast vocals and music scenes for various TV and movie scenes.
Recent work includes producing cast vocals, prerecords and songs for David E Kelley’s shows Big Sky and Avalon and the film Book Club: The Next Chapter. He’s done similar work for Amazon’s A League Of Their Own, Carnival Row, and With Love, ABC’s Women Of The Movement, NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, and CBS’ Tell Me A Story. He also wrote the main title, scored, and produced the music for the Netflix comedy Country Comfort starring Katherine McFee as well as scoring and producing all the songs for the country music biopic Patsy and Loretta for Sony Pictures.
Angela Lauer is an Emmy-nominated song and screenwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. The youngest daughter of famed country songwriter, Ben Peters (Charley Pride, Brenda Lee, Kenny Rogers), Lauer’s childhood was richly steeped in performance, music, and lyrics. After earning a degree in music business from Belmont University, she intended to pursue a career in management, launching and guiding the careers of Nashville’s up-and-coming indie artists. During her time at school, however, Lauer found herself drawn more and more to a creative career of her own. She began composing original music and soon after, signed to BMG Nashville as a writer. Unlike the stripped-down ballads she was raised on, her songs were much more at home in Los Angeles than in Lubbock. Her knack for layering sounds, creating an atmosphere as much as an earworm, made her a fast favorite among music supervisors and advertisers.
Lauer’s ethereal, hook-laden music has appeared in countless television shows and films including Nashville, Tell Me A Story, Teen Mom, The Runaways, Siesta Key, All My Children, Good Trouble, Love Club, The Kardashians, and Selling Sunset, and has also served as the backdrop for notable brand campaigns such as Tiffany’s, Target, Nordstrom, Windows 8, Toyota/the Voice and NFL MyCause with Patrick Mahomes. In addition to producing her own music, Lauer is a frequent collaborator in several sync projects including Bien (Secret Road) alongside her husband, Tim, and Jessie Early.
In 2021, inspired by her personal experiences as a woman over forty in a competitive, youth-driven field, Lauer co-wrote her first television pilot alongside close friend, Heather McCollum. Perennials is a propulsive, whip-smart dramedy series about a co-working space made for and managed by a multigenerational group of women.
Jonathan Grow is a Nashville-based pianist and media composer. His career in Nashville spans over twenty-five years as a songwriter, vocalist, and media composer. His work as a composer focuses on the areas of production music, sync licensing, and advertising. He currently works with local production companies Howling Music and Bigger Story Music. Jonathan is a SCL Nashville’s Steering Committee member and chairs SCL’s Seminar Committee for Nashville. Jonathan is a husband, father to three children, and has two dogs. His passion is for telling stories that move and connect people to their own stories through the medium of music.
