Writing lyrics for songs is very specialized work that needs an unusual skill set. For great lyricists it’s not just about writing poetry or prose, and getting everything to rhyme. In this seminar we will discuss what makes a song lyric special, how to get inspiration when you have to write for a certain topic, and what the differences are when writing for diverse genres and media uses.
