David May

DAVID MAY 1956-2006 The SCL mourns the passing of attorney & manager David May on February 23, 2006. David was born March 16, 1956. He was President of May Artist Management, where he managed the careers of many film composers. Previously, he was Vice President of Zomba Screen Music for six years, where he oversaw the personal management of over fifty film composers, music supervisors and music editors, as well as having been an entertainment attorney for music and film since 1986. David also supervised the music for several motion pictures and was active as a professional jazz bassist in the Los Angeles area. A long time poet, he recently saw the publication of a book of his poetry. David will be remembered for his warmth, intelligence, and a never failing positive attitude. He is survived by his wife Janet and eight children, and one grandchild.
