Danny Elfman Honored with SCL Lifetime Achievement Award

Composer, songwriter, and frontman Danny Elfman was honored on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 with the SCL Lifetime Achievement Award at the 33rd SCL Holiday Dinner. Elfman is the award’s 7th recipient.

The dedication included an introduction from director Sam Raimi and a performance of Elfman’s music from The Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Edward Scissorhands.

Elfman spoke briefly about his appreciation for the support along the way, his inspiration from the heroes that came before, and his general reluctance about public speaking.
