Immediate opening for an Assistant Professor of Music Composition at Oklahoma City University

The Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Music Composition (tenure track) to begin August 15, 2009.

Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate composition, film scoring, commercial scoring, recording and sequencing techniques and other related courses. The successful candidate will assist in the development of a new facet of the composition degree program and review and revise curricula, advise students, participate in faculty meetings and committees, and become involved in the community.

Knowledge/experience in concert and commercial music is expected. A mastery of Logic/Pro Tools is required. A DMA/PhD in music composition is preferred. Emphasis is on professional experience and teaching effectiveness.
