Broadcast-Ready In A Hurry

You have a track to write, but limited time and budget. You have to get it right the first time. This is not about tweaking every note and midi controller to the nth degree. It’s about getting it done quickly and perfectly and out the door. When a job comes in, we’re often expected to write, perform, record, mix, and master it on an almost impossible deadline. How do the pros handle it?

These pros explain the pitfalls to avoid, and what producers and music supervisors are looking for in a custom track. The conversation is moderated by composer Tyler Traband, and features composers Kate Diaz and John DeFaria, as well as mixing engineers John Paterno and Damon Tedesco.
