SCL Co-Authors Comments Regarding AI Executive Order

The Society of Composers & Lyricists joined Songwriters Guild of America and Music Creators North America in submitting comments in response to Executive Order 14179 Issued On January 23, 2025 by President Donald J. Trump titled: “Removing Barriers to American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence.”

The submission includes context about cultural and financial contributions made to the United States by music creators and an explanation of how artificial intelligence could be utilized by creators as a tool without being a replacement of human artistry.
