The 6th Annual SCL Awards®

The 6th Annual SCL Awards® were held on Wednesday, February 12th in Los Angeles, California. In addition to the winners of competitive categories, the ceremony also honored the filmmaker-composer team of Ridley Scott and Harry Gregson-Williams with the Spirit of Collaboration Award, which featured live performances of pieces from The Martian and Kingdom of Heaven. Jeff Beal was awarded the Jury Award for the Carnegie Hall-premiered re-score of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

Following a month after the devastating Southern California wildfires, the night also featured a silent auction presented by Sweet Relief and Media Musicians United, who were represented by composer Jeff Fair and 6th SCL Award nominees Dara Taylor and Christopher Lennertz.

Hosted by Grammy® winner Colin Hay, the 6th SCL Awards featured presentations by SCL President Ashley Irwin, SCL Vice President David Das, actor/singer Andy Allo, and composers Carlos Rafael Rivera, Gordy Haab, Starr Parodi, Catherine Joy, and Ludwig Göransson. Musical performances by Eden Kontesz, Colin Hay, the SAG-AFTRA Singers and an orchestra featuring LA’s finest musicians were highlights.
