Michael Gatt is an award-winning composer and songwriter for film and television with a very diverse background. After playing and touring in bands, he sold his possessions for a solo backpacking trek of the globe. 50 plus countries and years later, he had a long tenure scoring TV commercials and jingles. All proved a fantastic origin for his ongoing composing career in Film and Television. Gatt is known for creating signature sounds in scores that play against genre. His wide-ranging credits include the grindhouse anthology series Blood Drive for SYFY, the recently released Teen Titans Go!, DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse film for Warner Brothers Animation/Cartoon Network, the thriller Dying to Play which stars Madeline Brewer, multiple hit documentaries for Shark Week (some of which also feature Michael on camera having close calls with Great Whites), nine projects for Illumination/Universal including music for the Minions Mayhem Universal Studios Japan ride, as well as scores for the once silent films Straight Shooting and The Shakedown as part of Universal’s film restoration program. Outside of music-making, Michael continues his outdoor adventures with his wife and two dogs.
