Join us for a night of brass exploration and analysis as a quartet of trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba lead by LA trumpet veteran of 30 years, Chris Tedesco, demonstrate the unique capabilities of their respective instruments.

The ensemble will also read through three of our composer members’ brass quartet pieces in a mock reading/recording session!

Chris Tedesco has distinguished himself as one of the top call trumpet players on the music scene in Los Angeles since 1987. Equally at home performing classical trumpet or jazz, chamber music or orchestral pieces, Chris’s sound has been heard on numerous recordings for Movies, TV shows, TV Commercials, CD recordings, and live dates with some of the biggest names in the industry. He is also very active on the “business end” of music as a musician contractor/project manager for recorded and live work. He is a graduate of the University of Miami in Florida, where he studied trumpet with Gil Johnson, former principal trumpet of the Philadelphia Orchestra under Eugene Ormandy.

Recent credits include TV shows Timeless and Making History, The Quad, the Netflix series Jessica Jones, TV cartoon series All Hail King Julien, Miles from Tomorrow-land, Sheriff Callie’s Wild West, Mickey’s Roadster Racers. Also Musician Contractor/3rd Trumpet for the Dreamworks movie Need for Speed, solo jazz Trumpet for the theme to Showtime’s Homeland, Christina Aguilera’s movie Burlesque and big band trumpet for Ironman I.

Partial credits include the movie soundtracks to For Your Consideration, Finding Nemo, Best in Show, Batman Begins, The Mexican, Winchell, and Nixon. Television credits include American Idol, The Playboy Club, The Green Lantern cartoon series, Beware the Batman cartoon series, America’s Best Dance Crew, the El Tigre cartoon series, The Latin Grammy’s, The SAG Awards, The Star Trek TV series, The District, Chicago Hope and many more.

Chris is the leader of the Angel City Horns, who’ve recorded the hit tunes “Don’t Cha Wish” for the Pussy Cat Dolls, and Christina Aguilera’s “Candyman” and “Nasty Naughty Boy”.
