On January 7, 2020, the SCL hosted its inaugural Awards event, which took place at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

- Outstanding Original Song for Visual Media: Joshuah Brian Campbell and Cynthia Erivo: “Stand Up” from Harriet
