Early Career Lunch Hour 10

February 21 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm PST

Are you a composer for visual media in the early stages of your career?

Are you trying to secure your first feature film, video game, or lead composer credit?

Are you working mostly as an “additional music by” composer?

Are you working mostly as a composer’s assistant?

Have you been working as a media music professional for less than five years?

Join the SCL Early Career Committee for our tenth SCL Early Career Lunch Hour on Zoom. These Lunch Hours happen every two months and always start with a Lightning Talk on topics relevant to our Early Career community, followed by a brief Q&A, and then an informal hang in breakout rooms with members of the committee and your fellow Early Career composers.

The Lightning Talk for February 21 is

Empowered Through Automation:
How To Focus Fully On The Music & Excel In Your Delivery
featuring Silvio Buchmeier

Whether you’re just starting out or already running a fully formed team,
Composer Silvio Buchmeier will introduce a holistic approach to automate everything
from file naming to notes importing to MIDI delivery. In the age of AI, it is all the more
important for the computer to help us focus on what truly matters: creating music that
supports the story. Come and hear how you can empower and elevate yourself!
