Join us to hear Hans Zimmer share his vast knowledge with moderator Steve Schnur and explore the renowned composer’s personal approach to working on non-linear entertainment. Hans will explore how he attacks scoring for video games, what he’s learned along the way, how it has enriched his other work in film/TV, and MORE!

For this interactive Game Changers seminar, you’ll also have the chance to submit up to 3 questions upon event registration – and 3 lucky audience members will be chosen to come on the Zoom and ask one of their questions directly to Hans!

Hans Zimmer has scored more than 500 projects across all mediums, which, combined, have grossed more than 28 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. Zimmer has been honored with two Academy Awards®, three Golden Globes®, four Grammys®, an American Music Award, and a Tony® Award. His work highlights include Dune, No Time to Die, Gladiator, The Thin Red Line, As Good as It Gets, Gets, Rain Man, The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Thelma and Louise, The Last Samurai, 12 Years A Slave, Blade Runner 2049 (co-composed w/ Benjamin Wallfisch), and Dunkirk, as well as recent film scores including Top Gun:  Maverick, Wonder Woman  1984, and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run. Most recently, Zimmer won the Academy Award® for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures for  Dune. In 2019, Zimmer scored the live-action remake of The Lion King, for which he received a Grammy® nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.  

Zimmer has completed highly successful Hans Zimmer Live tour stops around the globe and most recently concluded the first leg of his European tour in April 2022. 

Steve Schnur has been a label and music publishing company President, TV executive producer, music supervisor, professional musician, songwriter, composer, record producer and more. Along the way, he has moved the needle and changed the game in the fields of music, movies, television, sports, video games, and digital interactive entertainment around the world.

In 2001, Schnur joined Electronic Arts, the global leader in video game software and streaming content. As Worldwide Executive of EA Music Group, his role is to pursue, create and continuously develop the international business plan for music in-game franchises such as Madden NFL, FIFA, and Need For Speed. His entrepreneurial vision has transformed both the industry and the culture, and he has been responsible for internationally launching artists that have included Green Day, Anitta, CHVRCHES, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Robyn, Fallout Boy, Black Eyed Peas, K’naan, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon, The Weeknd, Florence + The Machine, Kendrick Lamar, Glass Animals, and Billie Eilish. His hands-on approach to composer selection, orchestration, and production of well over 200 EA soundtrack albums – including original scores for Battlefield 2042, The Sims, Madden NFL, FIFA, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Medal of Honor, and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order has earned EA nearly 100 soundtrack nominations over the last 20 years.

Schnur has always been visionary in how the music in EA titles can drive culture outside the gaming world.  For two decades, he’s been a global tastemaker with EA’s franchise soundtracks, which consistently move the needle worldwide.
