LA SongArts: SONGWRITERS NIGHT IN LA

Chosen songwriters will be invited to perform live on stage

Sound Check: 6:30pm
Doors: 7:15pm
Show: 7:30 – 9:00pm

We’re thrilled to present Songwriters Night in LA. 
SCL members will perform original tunes during an evening celebrating the art of songwriting.

Performance Submission Deadline: 
Wednesday, August 19th, 11:59PM PST.

All members are invited to attend, even if not performing. Attendance details will be sent out closer to the date.

Please submit the following via the form linked below:

  1. Contact info
  2. Song title
  3. Recording of original song
  4. Lyric sheet
  5. Instrumentation & backline needs (mics, amps, keyboard, etc…)

Submission Guidelines:

  • Submit your song via the form linked below.
  • Submissions are only open to current SCL members.
  • Members who have performed at an SCL Songwriters Night (NYC, LA, Chicago, or Nashville) in the past year are not eligible.
  • Please submit only ONE song you wish to perform. It must be an original work.
  • Submissions must include some element of live performance, though backing tracks (provided as a stereo .mp3 or .wav file only) are allowed. If you don’t have a recording of the specific piece, you may submit an audio recording or video of you performing live. Please ensure the link is accessible by anyone (no links to streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, etc., or services that have adverts like YouTube, SoundCloud).
  • Performers will be selected by the SongArts Committee and notified by August 28th.
