Many composers today work across a diverse range of media—from screen to concert hall and beyond. What does it look like to navigate and balance these different formats, and how do you approach preparing for a live orchestral performance? Join composer and winner of the Second Ending Ensemble’s first-ever “call for scores” Bobby Ge, music director and conductor Ian Schaefer, and executive director Katherine Fong for a discussion about career diversity, programming live music, and the logistics of working with live ensembles as they prepare the Second Ending Ensemble for their upcoming concert at Lincoln Center. SCL members are also encouraged to attend the final performance on June 14th at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. Additionally, 2 tickets will be raffled off during the seminar.
For 15% off their Mahler 1 “Titan” & Ge concert on June 14th, SCL members can use the code “VIP15”.
