Join us for an evening celebrating the music of the FX series Fosse/Verdon, an inside look at the romantic and creative partnership between influential choreographer/ director, Bob Fosse, and Gwen Verdon, one of the greatest Broadway dancers of all time. Screening clips, followed by a moderated Q&A in which Alex Lacamoire will take the audience on an intimate journey of the music for the series. TV-MA | 60 min
Alex Lacamoire is an award-winning music director, arranger, and composer. He is best known for his work on Broadway’s critically-acclaimed shows Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and In The Heights. Altogether, he has won three Tonys® for Best Orchestrations, three Grammys® for Best Musical Theater Album, and an additional Grammy® for producing The Greatest Showman soundtrack. He was also the recipient of a first-of-its-kind Kennedy Center Honors for his contribution to Hamilton. Lacamoire and the Hamilton creative team were honored as the “trailblazing creators of a transformative work that defies category” – a distinction never before awarded by the arts institution.
Lacamoire currently serves as the Supervising Music Producer on FX’s hit series Fosse/Verdon, and will be the Executive Music Producer for Warner Brothers’ upcoming film In The Heights. Lacamoire’s other credits include: Broadway’s Wicked, Bring It On, High Fidelity, Annie (2011 Broadway revival), 9 to 5 (Drama Desk-nominated for Outstanding Orchestrations, and Grammy®-nominated for Best Musical Theater Album), Legally Blonde, Bat Boy, Incredibles 2, Sesame Street (Emmy®-nominated for Outstanding Original Song), Godspell (2001 National Tour), and orchestrations for The Rockettes, and the Oscars®.
