CBS presents THE 47th ANNUAL KENNEDY CENTER HONORS, an entertainment special celebrating lifetime artistic achievement. The 47th celebration was taped on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, in a star-studded celebration at the Kennedy Center Opera House stage and broadcast on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, (8:30-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+.
The recipients honored at the annual national celebration of the Arts in Washington, D.C. in December were acclaimed director and filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola; the legendary American rock band the Grateful Dead (Mickey Hart, Billy Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, Bobby Weir); blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt; jazz trumpeter, pianist and composer Arturo Sandoval; and The Apollo, which received a special Honors as an iconic American institution.
THE 47th ANNUAL KENNEDY CENTER HONORS was produced by Done+Dusted for a third year, in association with ROK Productions. The event was executive produced by David Jammy, Elizabeth Kelly, and Jack Sussman. The show was directed by Alex Rudzinski.
