Named one of UT Knoxville’s 40 Under 40 in 2025, Anne Buckle is a singer-songwriter and teaching artist. A graduate of Harvard University (EdM ‘12) and the University of Tennessee (BM & BA ‘11), her first few years out of college were spent working for the U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC, at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France, and in Tennessee higher education policy, helping develop the Tennessee Promise scholarship program. In 2015, she made the decision to pursue a career in music full-time. Since then, her original songs have amassed over 4 million streams, and she has shared the stage with the late Charlie Daniels, toured with Augustana, opened for The Chicks on their DCX MMXVI World Tour, performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, and become a regular at the world famous Bluebird Cafe. As a songwriter, her songs have been recorded by over 20 other artists including American Idol’s David Archuleta and Lindy Boone, daughter of legendary crooner Pat Boone. In addition, Anne teaches songwriting to hundreds of others annually and is proud to be part of the Country Music Hall of Fame’s nationally acclaimed music education programs serving K-12 and university students at the Taylor Swift Education Center.
