SCL Included in Amicus Brief for Cox Communications v. Sony Music Entertainment

The Society of Composers & Lyricists was included in the amici curiae in support of upholding the Fourth Circuit Court decision to hold Cox Communications secondarily liable for the actions of its consumers when it comes to copyright infringement and the misuse of copyrighted works.

This suit was first brought forth in 2018 and is now being heard by the US Supreme Court after Appellate courts have previously decided in favor of both parties.
