Stephen Schwartz Presented with SCL Lifetime Achievement Award
Composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz received the Society of Composers & Lyricists’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 SCL New York Holiday Party.
In addition to a montage of highlighted scenes from stage musicals and films, the presentation included a congratulatory video message from fellow SCL Lifetime Achievement Award honoree Alan Menken, a conversation with SCL President Ashley Irwin, and a live performance by Schwartz of the two new songs, “The Girl in the Bubble,” and, “No Place Like Home,” from Wicked: For Good.
