Synthesis 101 with Fletcher Beasley

This seminar provided an introduction to the basic principles of synthesis, explaining and demonstrating the use of oscillators, filters, modulators, LFOs and other parameters found as part of the standard toolbox of synthesizers.

SCL member Fletcher Beasley is a composer for film, television, animation and interactive media. His credits include writing the score and title song for the HBO feature film “Roads to Riches” and co-composing the score for the ESPN documentary, “June 17, 1994” directed by award winning director, Brett Morgen. Fletcher also lends his musical skills to helping some of the top composers in Hollywood.  In addition to composing, Fletcher teaches music and sound for film at UCLA Extension, Cal State Long Beach, Santa Monica College and the Los Angeles Film School.
