The Songs and Score to Epic Mickey 2:

The Broadway Musical comes to Video Games

In the spirit of SCL’s acclaimed composer screening series, this game showcase will be an exploration of the creative, collaborative and production decisions behind the Disney Interactive’s hit EPIC MICKEY 2: THE POWER OF TWO, the first video game musical.  This game is groundbreaking in it’s use of song to drive the plot forward and develop character, much like Disney’s beloved musical films.

The game’s Emmy-winning composer and songwriter JIM DOOLEY will host the evening. Dooley will be walking our members through the process of writing score and song for the game: from the storyboard stage, to final mix. The evening will include live-performance of some of the game’s key songs. Dooley will be joined by the game’s demo singer RANDY CRENSHAW, and the game’s lyricist, MIKE HIMELSTEIN.  Extensive Q&A will be encouraged regarding any game industry topics.

SPEAKERS:  JIM DOOLEY (composer & songwriter)

MIKE HIMELSTEIN (lyricist), RANDY CRENSHAW (demo singer)
