SING OUT 7: Play Your Song for Music Supervisors

Michelle Johnson is a music supervisor for Netflix’s Grace and Frankie by Friends’ creator Marta Kauffman; LOVE, the Judd Apatow produced Netflix comedy The Return and Nobodies, TV Land’s newest series from executive producers Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone. Michelle has worked with the collaborative music supervision team at SuperMusicVision since 2011, and has contributed to several acclaimed television series including Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Halt and Catch Fire, TURN and Better Call Saul. Upcoming projects include Seeing Allred, a documentary for Netflix about controversial attorney Gloria Allred premiering in early 2018, and the indie film Fits and Starts from up-and-coming director Laura Terruso, starring comedian Wyatt Cenac.

Garrett McElver is part of the Los Angeles-based music supervision team at SuperMusicVision. He is currently a music supervisor on The Tick for Amazon and the CBS series Seal Team. He is music coordinator on television shows AMC’s Better Call Saul, Netflix originals Grace and Frankie, and LOVE, the Hulu original series Shut Eye, Amazon’s Sneaky Pete, and TV Land’s Nobodies. Outside of television, upcoming independent feature films that Garrett has music supervised include Midnighters, YINZ, and a sci-fi short called A Date In 2025. Garrett also teaches Music Supervision and Music Licensing 1 & 2 at the Los Angeles College of Music in Pasadena, California.
