Euphoria puts a fresh spin on the coming-of-age narrative, exploring the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day life with empathy and candor. The series follows 17-year-old Rue Bennett (Zendaya), a drug addict fresh from rehab, who’s struggling to make sense of her future. Her life changes dramatically when she meets Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), a trans girl who recently moved to town following her parents’ divorce, and like Rue is searching for where she belongs. The ensemble cast includes Maude Apatow (Girls), Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney (Sharp Objects).

The series is produced in partnership with A24 (Lady Bird, Random Acts of Flyness, 2 Dope Queens, Pod Save America) and includes executive producers Drake, Future the Prince, Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokadi, and Gary Lennon. Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, who created the Israeli series of the same name, are also executive producers. TV-MA | 60 min

Labrinth is a multiplatinum-selling singer, songwriter, producer, and composer of one of  2019’s biggest shows, HBO’s Euphoria. In addition to lending his singular, genre-blending sound to the series, Labrinth wrote and performed the show’s finale-capping song All For Us, featuring Zendaya.

As a solo artist, he is best known for global hits including Jealous, which to date has garnered 380 million streams on Spotify alone. Labrinth is one-third of supergroup LSD, alongside Sia and Diplo, whose titular debut album has garnered over 1 billion streams worldwide in the year since its release. He has collaborated with Beyoncé, co-writing and co-producing the Golden Globe and Grammy-nominated song Spirit, the lead single in Disney’s 2019 live-action Lion King. Other artists he has collaborated with include Nicki Minaj, Eminem, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, and Kanye West on the album Jesus is King. Labrinth’s most recent album Imagination & The Misfit Kid includes the singles Miracle, Mount Everest, and the aforementioned All For Us.

Sam Levinson is a writer, producer, and director known for his work on The Wizard of Lies, Assassination Nation, and Another Happy Day. He is the son of actor, writer, and director Barry Levinson, who also helped produce The Wizard of Lies and Toys. In 2011, he won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award for his debut directorial work on Another Happy Day. Before he began producing and directing, Levinson appeared on the other side of the camera as an actor in films including Toys, Bandits, What Just Happened, and Stoic.

Most recently, Levinson created the new HBO teen drama series Euphoria starring Zendaya. The series follows a group of high school students as they endure issues related to drug addiction, sex, trauma, and violence in the age of social media. Levinson has struggled with some of these issues himself and therefore brings his past experiences to light through the storylines and characters portrayed in the series. Euphoria has been confirmed by HBO for Season 2.
