This seminar will cover basic conducting skills and serve as a composer’s boot camp for conducting one’s own music both in the studio and on stage. Eimear will also tackle the challenges composers encounter when adapting their scores from the studio to the concert hall, as well as strategies to avoid common mistakes that can unnecessarily complicate performance. She will discuss how scores are laid out, how tempo changes are handled, and the clarity of articulations and dynamics that determine playability.
