Come along and hear some exciting demos from emerging talent during Develop: Brighton. In collaboration with the SCL and Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.), this event will allow composers and sound designers to submit a short sample of their work to be heard by an expert panel of top-level composers, sound designers, and audio directors, and receive constructive feedback. For each session, we will play the submissions in the order they’re received, and there is no limit on style or skill level. Entrants must be present to have their work played, so do make sure you’ve reserved a space. Whether you’d like to participate or just come along and listen, you’re welcome to join in the 2nd edition of this wonderful event during Develop.

Submissions for the Music and Sound Demo Event are now open. 

Submission Deadline: 
Monday, July 12th, 2026, 11:59PM BST.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Demos are presented at Develop: Brighton based on order of submission.
  2. Submission by the deadline will not guarantee that it will be played. 

Music Demo:

  • All submissions must be 1 minute in length 
  • Submissions must be original work
  • Submitter must be present to be reviewed

Instructions: 

  1. Create a high-bit rate .mp3 of your submission. Please set the filename to [LastName][FirstName]_Develop:Brighton26.mp3
  2. Create a text file (.txt) with your name and contact information. Please set the filename to [LastName][FirstName]_Develop:Brighton26.txt

Sound Design Demo:

  • All submissions must be 1 minute in length 
  • Submissions must be original work
  • Submitter must be present to be reviewed

Instructions: 

  1. Create an .mp4 or .mov (1920×1080, not to exceed 10000kbps) video where you have done all the sound design. Please set the filename to [LastName][FirstName]_Develop:Brighton26.mp4/mov
  2. Create a text file (.txt) with your name and contact information. Please set the filename to [LastName][FirstName]_Develop:Brighton26.txt

  • Check-in begins 15 minutes before your panel. Sound panel: 11:15AM. Composer panel: 1:15PM 
  • If you RSVP but are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation by 10:00AM Wednesday, July 15th.
  • Please allow extra time for traffic and check-in.
  • This invitation is non-transferable.
