The Personal History of David Copperfield reimagines Charles Dickens’ classic ode to grit and perseverance through the comedic lens of its award-winning filmmakers, giving the Dickensian tale new life for a cosmopolitan age, with a diverse ensemble cast of stage and screen actors from across the world. Emmy winners and Oscar nominees Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell lend their wry yet heartfelt storytelling style to Dickens’ iconic hero, on his quirky journey from impoverished orphan a burgeoning writer in Victorian England. Recent projects include Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the Disney ride based on the Mickey shorts, featuring “Nothing Can Stop Us Now,” an original song co-written with his wife Elyse; a new Disney+ series, The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse; and Armando Iannucci’s latest feature The Personal History of David Copperfield.
