Warrior is a gritty, action-packed crime drama set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 19th century. The series follows Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances. After proving his worth as a fighter, Ah Sahm becomes a hatchet man for the Hop Wei, one of Chinatown’s most powerful tongs (Chinese organized crime family). TV-MA | 60min

Reza Safinia is a multi-instrumentalist composer. His textured approach fuses orchestra with contemporary production, exploring soundscape as much as harmony and melding the two to serve the storytelling in a tactile way. Some of his notable scoring work includes The Trust, starring Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood, Stephen King’s Mercy, P Valley, and the cult HBO Max show, Warrior. Prior to working in film, he has toured with Destiny’s Child and worked with artists as diverse as Dr. Dre, Britney Spears, and underground UK rapper Akala. Reza will be releasing two albums in 2021, called Yin and Yang on his own imprint Music and Texture.

Composer H. Scott Salinas recently scored Hulu’s documentary series Sasquatch; CBS All Access’ Coyote; and HBO’s documentary miniseries Tiger. From composing the brooding hybrid orchestral score to Zipper, to his original song “Jamie Smiles” written for the cult comedy classic Just Friends, Salinas’ ability to create a meaningful impact for a wide spectrum is showcased through his work. Past credits include National Geographic’s documentary Sea of Shadows, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019; Apple TV’s The Banker; Hulu’s Baghdad Central, which recently earned him a BAFTA TV Award nomination for best “Original Music”; FX’s The Most Dangerous Animal of All; ESPN 30 for 30’s two-part documentary series Lance; Showtime’s four-part documentary series The Trade; and more. Salinas has also contributed towards an impressive variety of notable projects including George Nolfi’s Birth of the Dragon and HBO Max’s action series Warrior, both of which he co-composed with Reza Safinia; as well as the Academy Award-nominated documentary film Cartel Land, which he co-composed with Jackson Greenberg.
