Digital Creators Coalition Letter to US Trade Representative

On August 6, 2020, a letter was sent by the Digital Creators Coalition (DCC), of which the SCL is a member, to US Trade Representative (USTR) Robert E. Lighthizer regarding US-UK copyright safe harbors. The letter was also shared with the US government interagency team working on US-UK copyright negotiations.

The letter is a timely prioritization of this critical issue, and follows on from Tuesday’s House Judiciary Committee listening session that heard comments from creators on Section 512 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
