Join Composer Austin Wintory and Director Jack Attridge for an interactive screening of the newly-released Playstation thriller ERICA. This feature-length hybrid of a film and game will be played via PS4 in its entirety by select members of the audience (who will be chosen at the start of the event, following a brief intro). After the interactive screening, acclaimed actor Troy Baker (Death Stranding, The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite) will moderate a discussion and Q&A with Austin and Jack.
Grammy Nominated and two-time BAFTA-winning composer Austin Wintory has had a career straddling film, video games, and the stage. He has scored over 50 features, including several Sundance hits (Grace, Captain Abu Raed), and over 30 games, netting him 7 BAFTA nominations, 2 wins of the peer-voted ASCAP Composers Choice Awards and a slew of other industry accolades. His work, ranging from intimate indies like Journey to massive blockbuster’s like Assassin’s Creed, is often noted for it’s unique perspective and unusual approach. Many of his game scores have enjoyed success in concert upon release, with performances all over the world including a recent presentation of his music before an audience of nearly 15,000 in Krakow, Poland.

Austin’s most recent feature films include Bullet Head, and Burt Reynolds’ final film, The Last Movie Star. His concert works include numerous orchestral works, commissioned for orchestras such as West Michigan Symphony, and the Mobile Symphony (all of which he has enjoyed Composer-in-Residence relationship with), and recently premiered an evening-length science+music concert called A Light in the Void, with the Colorado Symphony.

After a history in audio design, filmmaking, and games design across studios such as EA, Rebellion, Mind Candy, and 22cans, Jack Attridge co-founded Flavourworks with the goal of merging the worlds of film and games like never before. The studio’s first title ERICA is being published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PS4 in 2019. The studio’s in-house, multi-platform “Touch Video” technology enables Flavourworks to make tactile environments in a seamless, cinematic, Live Action world. The studio has built a unique approach to marrying story and design, as well as a production workflow that merges game development with high-end filmmaking.
